A downloadable game for Windows

After Spellthief's downfall and his castle collapsed, the survivors of the mushroom society decided to finally leave the underground and go to the surface to deal with the devastation that had occurred in their land.

However, not long after establishing their settlements, hordes of undead and hostile creatures rose from the ruins of the castle and began to decimate the peaceful mushroom villagers.

Local mercenaries were called in to purge this scourge that once again haunts the village and seek to put an end to the source that brings all this evil.

About

Boltcraft II is a HARD game. It's an action RPG with hack'n'slash combat that has a lot of inspiration from Warcraft III Custom Games and MOBAs like Dota 2/League of Legends containing skills with unique natures that can synergize with other skills in the most diverse combinations .

 Quick combat

Move with the WASD keys to get closer to or away from enemies and dodge projectiles and skills and use the mouse pointer to aim your skills towards them.

Unique Classes

Choose one of 3 classes (currently) with 3 specializations with unique traits to start the adventure. Each class behaves differently in combat and each class specialization has its strengths and weaknesses.

Experience

Accumulate experience points by defeating enemies, level up and improve your atributes and the efficiency of your skills. You are not required to defeat every enemy you encounter to proceed, but you will be rewarded if you do.

Items

Collect items from enemies, buy them from merchants, or collect keys to open special chests! You'll come across consumable items like health and mana potions, permanent power-boosting items like artifacts and magic rings, and activable items like Tomes of Power and Spell Scrolls.

Procedural Generation

With each new adventure started, a new map will be generated, experience unique maps and rooms with enemies that move freely between them, learn to use bushes and walls to outwit enemies and use the terrain to your advantage, no one ever knows what wait from the undead forest!

Special Locations

When a portal is passed through there is a chance that you will be taken to a special location, it could be a mushroom village, an oasis, a merchants' sanctuary or even a shady forest, it all depends on your luck!

Game Modes

If you have finished the DEMO, try the challenge and permadeath game modes, in challenge mode the enemies gain new abilities or new behaviors, without changing atributes such as having HP or causing more damage, you will have to know how to use your advantages very well in order to survive !

From the weird controls, borderline uncomfortable art, and okayish gameplay that doesn't really stand itself out, there's a lot of problems with this game.

Only for example: There's an abundance of enemies that require movement but a lack of movement abilities for all classes, there's weapon abilities that are boring and weapons that are borderline useless compared to the starter ones, there are other problems that doubtless reveal themselves later on that I've not gotten to, or other issues I've simply skipped.

I'd recommend a revision of the combat since right now it's pretty unsatisfying to kill or get killed, and an redo of all the character and enemy art (with exceptions) since it feels like it'd belong more in a Horror game than a Rouge.

3.8/5, Best of luck, Mence, cheers.

Thanks for your feedback! I'll update combat during updates and add some early movement abilities for all classes as well.
