Boltcraft 2.36-alpha changelogs


Minimap
  • Now the game starts to display the minimap of the environment, indicating where the terrain, walls, portals and even merchants are!

Movement
  • Added movement skills for each of the existing classes, Warrior has a small dash, Archer has roll and Mage has a mini-flash, to activate them press the SPACE key. Depending on the class, the ability may have charges that accumulate and recover in parallel;
Shrines
  • Added Shrines of Power, which when the player approaches, a random blessing will be applied to him and his followers, which can be Healing, Movement Speed, Invisibility or even summoning a Guardian to defend the surrounding area!

Combat
  • Increased particle effect on weapons when hitting enemies;
  • When dealing damage with weapons and most skills, the screen will cause a small vibration, in the future there will be an option to make this optional;

Mechanics
  • Added saturation system while restoring food, while there was saturation, the player does not lose food points;
  • All maps will always generate at least 1-2 food items, so if you are hungry, look on the map and there will definitely be a food item waiting for you;  :)
  • When breaking pots, there is a large percentage of dropping gold coins and a small percentage of dropping some other consumable item such as potions or parchments;
  • When swinging trees and attacking them, there is a MINIMUM percentage of dropping an item such as mace or even keys, but this is only checked once;
  • Enemies now drop coins on the ground when defeated and you no longer gain instant gold when defeating enemies;
  • Improvement in enemy pathfinding and their combat behavior, it will now be more difficult to escape from them using the environment as an advantage!

Skills
  • Blinks now leaves an illusion that taunts enemies for a short period of time;
  • Increased mana cost of Hunter and Mage skills;

Weapons
  • Added difficulty level indication on weapons;
  • Added button to change weapons (Y);
  • Added button to release the weapon's special power (T);
  • Removed the cooldown of special powers for ALL weapons;
  • Exponentially increased the required adrenaline accumulation for almost ALL weapons;
  • Reduced reload time and delay time for Sparkling Gloves;
  • Increased damage, reduced reload time, knockback distance and dash distance for Dagger;
  • Increased Torch damage and reduced reload time;
  • Reduced the number of projectiles generated per Magic Wand attack;
  • The Spear now has two types of attacks that can be used at the user's choice and simultaneously, they are melee attacks and long-range attacks, both have the same damage, but the spear has charges that return every 4 seconds, they can accumulate up to 3 charges. The long-range spear attack no longer causes 1 second stun, but instead slows 50% for 1 second;
  • Added Double Swords weapon with a new mechanic of using two weapons at once, but they are still one item in the inventory;

Environment
  • Map music now switches between 3 Boltcraft II exclusive tracks!
  • Updated the map's forest formation to become denser and more immersive!

Units
  • Skeleton Knight unit has been redesigned, with a new type of attack and behavior;

HUD
  • Increased the duration of the experience bar display;
  • Added descriptions of character skills and specializations;
  • Added Adrenaline button and visualization in % of the percentage of adrenaline filled to release the weapon's special ability;
  • Added key (C) to automatically feed by taking the food with the lowest priority;
  • Added icon with help button;
  • Updated the hero selection screen;
Items
  • Added Spellbook of Polymorph;
  • Adrenaline Potion now instantly fills the weapon's adrenaline by 100%;
  • Treasure Chests no longer drop starting weapons (Sword, Bow and Wand);

Bugfixes
  • Fixed problem when pressing the interaction key (V) near a market and the player starts attacking instead of interacting;
  • Sparkling Gloves traps do not activate tree balancing or destroy bushes;
  • Fixed problem after dying while attacking, the player is reborn while attacking while stuck;
Update 2.36b - January, 21, 2024
  • Increased starvation damage per second from 2% of maximum health per second to 4% of maximum health per second;
  • Starvation now does not affect characters with less than 50% health;
  • Increased food generation on ALL maps;
  • Added food generation on maps such as Forest Shrine and Ruins Gate (boss room);
  • Now at Forest Merchant, the third store will always be dedicated to selling food;
  • Reduced bounce of items that fall to the floor;
  • Fixed error where items fell off the map;
  • Fixed crash when there were two Wooden Masks equipped;
  • Added shadow to the merchant;
  • Changed color of poisonous attacks from green to purple;
  • Updated movement skill icons;
  • Updated the position of movement skill icons;
